Our Fourth of July holiday probably wasn't anything like your Fourth of July holiday. In fact, I'm almost sure it wasn't. At the Stewart house, football season started a little early, thanks to our friends from Colorado. See, Colorado people don't know all that much about college football. The have all the good pro stuff, but college football is just different, right? Its hard for them to understand all the hoopla that surrounds the game. So, Brandon and Sarah got a taste of what a Saturday in October is like . . .kinda. There wasn't a REAL football game on TV, obviously, so Craig and Brandon brought the xbox into the living room and hooked it up to the big TV. They played football FOR SIX HOURS. Yes, six hours. I'm so glad that our UA games don't last for six hours. By the time it was over, even Craig was ready to call it quits. Along with that, we had our real football spread. By 11:00 yesterday, I had already made buffalo-chicken dip, little smokies, spinach dip, caramel-apple dip with apple slices, and rotel dip, Lots of dips, but its just easy stuff you can leave out and snack on all day. I had also made a key lime cake the night before, so we brought that out, too. Yep, it was good stuff, and a good taste of what it'll be like in a couple of months. Pictures of our day are below, so take a peek, and hope your downhill slide to the summer months brings you lots of happiness!
Sarah lucked up and got herself a new computer while she was here. She was offered a job back in Colorado Springs, so they'll be leaving us next Thursday. I will Facebook stalk them, but they know this, so it's all good. They've promised, too, to make Northport a new vacation spot. We've promised to make Brandon's grandaddy's cabin in Breckenridge a new vacation spot.
